FORscan compatiblity with 2020 Fiesta.

Featured Replies

My last car was a 3.0L Discovery 4.  Bought the 2020 Fiesta Mk8 last August.

I still have a Foxwell 680pro scanner and had a go at connecting it to the OBC in my 2020 Mk8 Fiesta 1.0 eco petrol, it recognised the car no problem, but most things I looked into only came back with "this is not supported" for BCM etc etc.

Mostly what I expected, but worth a try.  However, during the initial scan, only one fault popped up:                                                    IPMA--Image Processing Module A.    Fault I 1 .  I have read of the Vlinker FS that should be ok with a MacBook Pro, Bluetooth  or cable connection. But so far I haven't seen anything that states there is a Forscan version that will be compatible with my car ?.  Can anybody help with identifying that fault, or confirming a yes or no if Forscan will be ok for my car.                    Thanks in advance.

FORScan is fully compatible with your 2020 Fiesta, providing you have the latest version (of FORScan) and the correct lead

FORScan laptop version is exactly that. It runs on a Windows based Laptop and as far as I know will not work with Apple products.

There is an iPhone version of FORScan (£7) that will work together with the vLinker FD+ dongle.

Note that both the iPhone and Android versions of FORScan will not allow programming. They both support reading of all DTC's and the resetting of things like service reminders and oil change indication.

It's what many Ford owners use including some Ford technicians.

Thanks so much guy's, just what I was hoping to hear, I forgot to mention, I have a partition on the Mac SSD with Windows 11 installed, the Foxwell and LR stuff all removed, so downloading FORscan should be straight forward.

Very helpful, much appreciated.
