Knock noise when braking.

Featured Replies

At low speeds I'm getting a knocking noise now and again from the front left wheel only happens if I'm pressing on the brake pedal. Had new front pads a month or so ago 🤔

Pressing the brake pedal shifts the weight on the car's suspension - so it may not be anything to do with the brakes.  Probably a ball joint on the front lower arm.  But could be ARB bushes or even track-rod-end ball joint.  You need to find out by looking or paying someone - when is the MOT due?  It's a very good way of getting a full and fair (should be) inspection on your car for just 54 GBP.  The MOT should tell you what is causing the knocking.

It had MOT in January with only brake pads as advisory. Opened the bonnet and the stay rod was off the little yellow plastic holding so I popped it back in and went for drive (still making noise) came back and it was off again so I'm hoping it's something as simple as that I've taped it onto it so I'll see if it works in the morning lol 😆. Cheers for your reply!
