Hi, has anyone had problems with the topic items in their Ecosport in the UK.

    Hi Jan,

    There have been a couple of Ecosport specific threads on here, but basically the petrol model shares the same "wet belt" 1.0 Ecoboost engine with the Fiesta, Focus and other related models such as the B-Max and C-Max, so the same issues apply.

    I assume that you have the petrol 1.0 Ecoboost engine. Is your car manual or automatic ?

    Lots of threads on here about the engine just search "Ecoboost" or even "Ecoboom" and you will find many stories.

    It may be automatic because of mention of the tensioner which iirc from the multitude of posts is only on balancer shaft engines, ie autos.

    Autos of course are the subject of the US recall and that video which is circulating widely (I've seen it on here at least 3 times) has spooked a lot of people.
