Advice on replacement touch screen radio

Featured Replies

Have a ford focus mark 2 titanium. It had a faulty radio (won’t stay on) when I bought the car. Looked at a second hand replacement but prices are about £600 on eBay.
thought I could get an android Apple play. However when looking online, the options available don’t seem to match my particular radio size (some versions have different climate control buttons)

would love some help on what I could do to get a working radio again. I thought about putting a dashboard radio but wouldn’t be able to use the fm transmitter to play on the radio. Could I hard wire it?

thank you!

Very rare unit in a Titanium.  Generally fitted to RS's.

I reckon you could fit the non-integrated climate panel and oval radio fascia.  That would allow you fit any audio unit you wanted, without the climate being a concern.

Do you know the exact model of the unit fitted (have to remove it to get the information from the label)

There are quite a number of them on eBay (also used in the Mk1 Kuga) for around £349

Another option is to go with a head unit with larger touch screen that will also come with its own fascia that fits into your dash.

I had a Asure head unit that fitted into the standard oval type fascia for mk2.5 but upgraded it a few years ago. All fits the dash ok plus gives you larger screen just without physical buttons the old unit had
