Fiesta issue

Featured Replies

Hello,

We have keys made for our cars purchased at auction. A key was made for an 11 plate Fiesta MK7. It started the car fine. About 3 days later when cleaning the car the ignition was left on. When I went to turn the key, nothing! No crank. I assumed it was the battery so charged it over night. The next morning car started fine. Drove round block then back to unit. Turned car off and now won’t start again. Changed battery and still nothing. Just dash lights, no crank. This is the only code showing. Our key guy is adamant it’s not a key issue and is refusing to come put it right. Any thoughts?

* I have also changed the starter motor to discount that

I agree that it is unlikely to be anything to do with the key if you have been able to start the car a few times. Have you not got at least one original key that you can try ?

What is the exact battery voltage measured with a multimeter ?

Sorry just seen this wasn’t notified you messaged. Let me check voltage this morning for you. We buy cars from the DVLA meaning they come without keys. We have new keys made for every car and old ones are deleted.
