what is the liklihood my fiesta will suffer the wet belt iss

Featured Replies

My fiesta is an ST line 1ltr 125bhp 19 plate.

What is the liklihood that it will have the wet belt issue?

Mainly, Is it likely to have the wet belt at all? I know they changed the engines in 2019 but i dont know when.

You'd have been better posting in the Fiesta forum, where this topic has been covered many times if you have a search around.

The revised (chain cam drive) engine did not appear until around mid 2020 in the Fiesta, so yours will be wet belt.

I think we need a Forum just for Ecobooms

And, maybe one for powersh**s??

But to answer your question:

If you change the oil, for the correct oil, every 12 months or 12,000 miles (ignore Ford's crazy - to sell cars- two year service schedule)

NEVER, ever use engine flush

Deactivate stop/start system

Then there's a very strong chance that your wet belts will last 10 years or 100,000 miles
