Is it possible to retrofit mk3.5 cluster in mk1

Hi 

Really hope someone can shed some light on this.

I've just been given a mk3.5 cluster with the digital screen now I know this is a plug and play on the mk2 c maxes but is there anyway to retrofit 1 into a c max 1.5 2010.

Not feeling positive with this but as I have it would love to atleast as the question as I think it will look smart in it.

Is there a way to splice the wires and add the new cluster plug to do it that way or would that probably give me a headache of issues
