Kuga 1.6 ecoboost missfire

Featured Replies

I recently purchased a 13 plate Kuga 1.6 EcoBoost (feel stupid now) . Today I took the car for a drive and I was pushing it a bit.. flooring it, changing gears at 4-5k rpm, nothing really extreme but also not regular driving. All of a sudden when I was accelerating I felt a bit of hesitation from the engine and it started running rough. Pulled over and notice the engine stops by itself on idle.. or stalls if I try do drive it normally.. I was able to drive it back home but only by keeping it at 1500 2000 rpm all the time..it drove but really rough.. you can smell unburned fuel around thr car and it and it missfires really bad.. the exhaust makes popping sounds.

There was no check engine on but when i arrived home put the diagnostics tool on it and the codes I got were p2237, p0300, p0304, p0302. The first code is apperently related to the O2 sensor but the rest are because of the missfires.

Any suggestions? obviously I would try to replace spark plugs and coils hoping that would fix it but why would those fail like that all of sudden after accelerating?
