Bluefin Remap on Ford Focus MK3 1.0T 140PS

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,
I have a 2018 Ford Focus Mk3 ST-Line with the 1.0T 140bhp engine and I'm looking to remap it. I have a Bluefin ECU tool which I’ve used successfully on other cars. However, after speaking with Bluefin, they informed me that their tool is not compatible with my 140bhp version, even though it works with the 125bhp variant.
From what I've researched, it seems like the ECU hardware in the 125bhp and 140bhp models is the same, with the differences in power being due to different software calibrations. Some tuning companies offer remaps for both versions, suggesting that a remap for the 125bhp model could potentially be adapted for the 140bhp model.
Has anyone here successfully remapped a 140bhp Focus using a Bluefin or any other tool? Is there any specific information I should provide to Bluefin to help them adapt their remap for my car?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
