Ford Focus MK4 (2019 Zetec) - Alarm problem

Featured Replies

Hi all, first post here.

i was wondering if anyone has had any issues with their Focus alarms?

Just recently it’s constantly setting itself off every 10 minutes, I’ve changed it to reduced guard and still doing it.

nothing inside the car, all doors locked it’s driving me insane.

ive been under the bonnet and can’t see any issues but that said im not sure what i am looking for.

when the alarm sounds, the indicators don’t appear to flash

Kyle,

I have the exact same problem on my 2019 Focus. Lock the car, and 10 mins late the alarm (no flashing lights) goes off. Unlock the car and the alarm stops.
Got Ford to run a diagnostic, and they failed to identify a problem.
Did you track down what the problem was? And if so, what was the solution to fix it?

Cheers.

The alarm was going off more often, so I had to track down the problem (and a solution).

The easiest solution I found was to track down the fuse for the sounder (the key phrase is "battery sounder") and to see what happened if I removed it.

The fuse was fuse 18/19 in the glove box fusebox, and when I removed it.....

The alarm has stopped, hasn't sounded again, and nothing else seems to have been affected!

So there's my solution for you all to try!😃
