Ford Focus MK3 1.5tdci zetec starting issue

Featured Replies

Guys!! I was hoping someone could help, I’ve got a 66 plate focus 1.5 diesel had been sat for a while and now will not start figured it was due to being low on diesel and being sat, so topped it up and still no luck. Changed fuel filter thinking it was maybe choked with old diesel still nothing. Left it for the night and started it next day and away it went, drove it a few miles and then started shuddering and then cut out. Got it home and it’s now intermittent where it starts and idles and then dies again. No codes on dash and when I scanned the car doesn’t show any issues. Also checked injectors for fuel and pressure all is fine there. Can anybody help?

Sounds like the battery is failing.
