hi all, im new to this site but ive been thinking for a while now about ''more power''! instead of cams ect i was wondering if i could put a fiesta ST engine in it. now i know i would need the engine harness, ecu, driveshafts ect but what else would i need for the conversion? and is this possible? has any1 attempted this before? any info on this would be much appreciated, cheers- dan

    In a simple answer yes it CAN be done, but there isnt anything simple about changing engines etc.

    Classic quote coming up now " Sell the one you have and buy an ST" Trust me its so much easier to do :)

    i havnt just got 8 grand to spend like that lol ... would it fit straight in on the mounts ect...

    i am 20 and im paying 465 fully comp. the insurance dont bother me though i dont mind paying mor but havntgot enough for the insurance and to buy an st .. cheers dan

    See thing is you may end up paying more for a modified fiesta than an actual fiesta st.

    You need to balance how much you are going to have to spend :-

    Modifications

    Insurance costs

    And

    Fiesta St

    Insurance costs.

    Ok but just so your aware my mate has been quoted 6k to have an ST engine in his Mk6 zs show car

    Thats the engine, gearbox, driveshafts, brake upgrades, wiring loom , ecu, then the installation of it all!

    If you want to then fairplay, but it will cost you!
