Fiesta 2009 Coolant disapearing quick and engine overheating

Featured Replies

Didn't know if anyone can help, currently have a 2009 fiesta 1.4. And for a while now my coolant just disappears really quickly. I first thought it wasn't circulating properly so i changed thermostat and unblocked radiator and still going really quickly. So then i thought it could be the cap, so i replaced it and still happening, The car also feels really sludgy to drive and shudders when change gear. Any know what the problem could be.

  1. Head gasket failure
  2. Cracked cylinder head

You need to do a compression test on the cylinders, and/or use a hydrocarbon test kit and check for exhaust gases in the coolant.
