So I have replaced the spark plugs, air filter, (oil change and filter next, and replaced the boost pressure control valve...idling is not as smooth as 1st having the car, about 3 months ago....and other things I can check?, I am due to replace the recirc valve next.. and any advise would be appreciated...tbh, and when I 1st start the car, it revs highly ( I'll try and make a note of what the rev counter rading gives and then update) then returns to normal revs..

Oh and it's a focus st225 2006.

Have you checked the DTC's using FORScan ?

There may be Ford specific codes stored that would give you some help.

P0557 brake servo pressure sensor which when searching for code description or part for mine it comes up with the boost pressure control valve...I have replaced it, maybe a faulty one or check pipes to and from it maybe?
