Ford Protect Gold Warranty

Featured Replies

Just bought a 2021 Puma and now received a notice for the warranty. Do you recommend? Does it cover labour as well? Seems very reasonably priced and includes the annual mot and AA cover. Seems too good to be true. shall I purchase?

Depends what it covers

The gold warranty is worth having if something major breaks.  It does include labour.  Of course, you never know when or if something will break, that is the risk with any warranty.

If you have Ford dealership servicing, 12 months of AA cover is included free with each service at most dealerships, though you do have to check yours specifically.

MOT's can be had for around £40 at chain garages, so I wouldn't let a free MOT sway the decision.

It really comes down to whether you expect something to break during the warranty period or not.  It is more worthwhile on higher spec cars with more potentially expensive faults.
