Ford Focus Central Locking Proplems

Featured Replies

Hi Folks

I was wondering if anyone could offer some guidance on a problem we're having with the remote central locking on our 1998 Focus 1.8 D.

The car will lock perfectly using the remote key but will not unlock the drivers door with the remote. All other doors lock/unlock fine.

The actuator/solenoid has been replaced but the problem still persists.

The door can be locked / unlocked with the key in the lock.

I've listened by the door and there is no noise or response of any kind from the drivers door when pressing the unlock button.

The manual mentions a drivers door module and I'm wondering if it could be this? I don't know where it's located though.

If anyone could offer any gidance or advice it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Barry
