Hi I'm looking to buy another smax but an auto I don't want a power shift box though. I've seen the powers hit. And they also do a newer look Poweshift I beleave it's flat sleek stick I think 2014 2015 onwards  . They also do one that looks bmw style P R N D then M S I have been told that this is not one there is a round bmw style one too can any one shed some light to what the latter 2 thanks for your help G

    Torque Converter.

    I had one in my 2016 SMAX 2.0ltr Petrol.

    Not a step auto, works more like a CVT but it's sluggish and slow to react.

    Great for churning out motorway miles, rubbish for local and commuting miles.

    For what I've seen Ford have moved to CVT's on all Hybrid models now and their "new" powershift auto's seem to fair better too.
