Featured Replies

Good evening guys n gals… I’ve got a 2008 kuga 2.0 it’s been to about 3 different garages over the past yr it started off smoking so 1st garage said it was my DPF so bought a full new exhaust, after about 2hrs it started smoking again so took it bk n they said it was my turbo so bought a new garret turbo for it, that wasn’t it either so took it to a different garage n they said it was my oil so had a full service went to pick it up expecting that was it only to find after 5mins it started again  & it was another customer who mentioned it was my injectors so left it with them they had the car over 3mths they couldn’t get one injector out then finally about 1mth ago & £3000 spent I thought they’d finally done it drove it to work that Monday only to find the fuel return pipes was peeking so had them replaced & now it’s building up too much pressure on injector 2 which is blowing the pipe off & the diesel mechanic next door to work is baffled & so am I…

so plz plz does anyone have any idea why it’s building up pressure at the injector fuel return pipe…?

Probably a poorly built/refurbed injector.  I take it it's not a genuine Siemens?

You can test the flow amount against the other injectors using a leak off test.

The other option is that the leak off pipe is kinked or blocked, and there isn't any extra pressure coming from the injector, but it just can't drain quickly enough from the other end.

Hi Tom thanks for the info I think 1-3 injectors are legit they was bought from Ford £427 each but the injector 4 I’m not sure as I’d given it to the 3rd garage n told him to wat he had too to get it running

I’ll go see the mechanic tomorrow and get him to check the over flow pipes in front ov me so I know.
