2007 Ford Fusion - Rear Parking Sensor Issue

I've been having a problem with the rear parking sensors on my 2007 Ford Fusion for the past few weeks. There's no beeping sound when I put the car into reverse, nor as I approach a wall like it normally does.

I've had some general electrical issues of late - radio completely stopped working, LED behind speedo/revs would flicker on/off which were resolved easily by removing the fuse for these, checking they hadn't blown and reinserting them. Taking them out and putting them back in completely resolved both of these issues. But the rear sensor is the third such issue in as many months.

I could not identify which fuse was responsible for the sensor so I tried a few (Rear Lights, Hazard warning flashers and direction indicators, Audio system and diagnostic connector) - there's nothing in my Haynes manual, owners manual, or fuse box diagram to indicate what fuse the sensor is using. https://www.autogenius.info/ford-fusion-2002-2012-fuse-box-diagram-europe-version/

I assume next steps are to check the switch connected to the gear stick/box, the sensors themselves, or the audio speaker in the boot - all of which involve a bit of a tear down. So mostly looking for what you'd try first/rule out and how you'd go about troubleshooting.

I gave the exteriors of the sensors a good clean and there's no visible bubbling of the paint on them (I saw this as an issue on other threads - but if I'm not mistaken people with this issue will still get some audio/warning, or at least the beep when switching into reverse).

Thanks in advance if anyone can assist - it's very tricky googling this car because it shares the name of the US Mondeo equivalent, plus it's older and less common than other Ford models and the rear parking sensors seem to also be uncommon on these Fusions.

If I can provide any additional info/photos please let me know.

F48 is the reversing supply, and is shown in Haynes as going to switch and GEM.  (Oddly on the Trailer socket diagram).  This diagram also shows the reversing lights and parking aid (and trailer socket) being supplied via the GEM.

And - do your reversing lights work ?  (Do you have one or two ?)

And perhaps - Factory Fit, Dealer fit, or after market ?

I have a problem with mine also, and yes the reverse lights are working so I guess there is a feed.

I will investigate tomorrow the components of the system and see if I can find them.
