Original Battery Type of a 2014 Focus Titanium Navigator TDC

Featured Replies

I have a 2014 Diesel Focus 1.5  Titanium Navigator TDCI.    What type of battery would have been shipped with this model eg  standard Flooded Block, Enhanced FB or AGM  ?

I had it have it changed recently and I was expecting it to be at least an enhanced FB type, but the supplier says it replaced like for like and it was just a standard FB type.  I believe it was the original Ford battery, but annoyingly didn't note the type.
I was surprised it wasn't an enhanced one in there originally, or did Ford not ship that type of battery with this age of car, even though it has the start/stop feature.

Efb is the standard fit. Efb590 from memory. Same battery as the 1.0 ecoboost.
