Roof channel rubbers

Featured Replies

Many thanks to those who have helped, can you still obtain the roof channel rubbers for a fusion.

Mine are like course sand paper, new at the time we're very smooth.

As I plan to change the wind screen & wrap the roof, these two channel strips are ugly.

Also how are they fitted, stuck in, clipped in, hammered in there seems to be a white type of mastic underneath.

Are these channels the location points for the roof rack.

Help on this much appreciated.

Hi, I'm sure the rubbers are still around, but there are ways to over come the rough issues.

Yes the rubbers are stuck in with a flexible mastic and it's white.

Mine were like course sand paper, so I scrubbed the rubbers with a small course nylon brush, then I kept applying a gel for bumpers, it kept on absorbing the gel, but in the end they are now smooth.

All the interior of "Fred" was dull and very tired, but after a thorough clean with magic erasers, & applying the gel, it's like brand new, as a note, I completely stripped out the interior.

I'm having my windscreen changed at the end of the year, it's starting fog on the edges.

Although "Fred" is now in mint condition, I've still got lots of ideas, and I've noticed all the good Fusion's are being brought up.

If your struggling to obtain parts in the UK, in Poland etc, all parts are available.

AutoDoc is worth a try, just ask it's free, also Allen Ford.

Hope this helps.
