Mk4 Focus ST Estate Orange Fury Paint Repair!

Featured Replies

Hello to everyone, I am new to this forum but joined hoping someone could help point me in the right direction. As the title says I have got a fury orange Focus st estate which my wife has kindly reversed down the side of my work truck and manged to do a fine job on the rear quarter of the car.
I have been to a few repair shops to try get a quote and a lot won't take on the work and others say it won't be 100% when they have finished (what does that even mean)?
Does anyone know of anyone that will take this work on? I am in Wakefield, West Yorkshire but don't mind travelling.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

A blended repair won't be 100% because it's a pearlescent paint finish.

Ideally need to have entire panels done, but even then the match could be far enough out to see at the shut lines.

If you can find someone with the skill to do it well, they won't be cheap!

To be happy with the finish to the point no one will ever be able to tell is the whole side needs to be done, like Tom says ☝️ There will be paint shops who will defo' be up to getting it done right, but don't think taking it to a Ford dealership will be the best way, you want a time served professional who loves his job and commits to getting it spot on.... The metallic cars I've seen on roads with bad blending is shocking, sunlight really highlights the blend lines.

When enquiring with body shops ask to look at their work and see what you think.
