Electrical problems

Featured Replies

I have just inherited a 08 fusion.

The problem I have the central locking is not working it displayed the passenger door is open.

I have changed the door lock now the indicators don't work, if I push the hazard warning switch it unlocks the boot and nothing else happens.

The heated front/ rear switch's are both lit and won't turn off

Fuse box is clear of rust and all fues are good

Please help

Check for water ingress in the passenger compartment fusebox and or

GEM module.

Almost certainly water ingress of the GEM.

Disconnect the battery negative lead before investigating. You will need to fully unplug all connectors on the GEM and then remove it for inspection.

Use FORScan to check for DTC's and to run module test on GEM

FORScan (for use with Windows Laptop) : https://forscan.org/download.html

It's what many Ford owners use including some Ford technicians.
