This is the 3rd time you've posted the exact same question in 24 hours - is your strategy to just annoy us into an answer?? 😂

I've already asked, is your 'blower' a turbo, heater fan, or something else. You gotta work with us to help you... Be as specific as you can.

Heater blower resistor

Heater blower resistor

Just curious, if that's the fault, why would it repeatedly work briefly? Would it just not work at all? (I know, probably a stupid question on my part, I'm an expert on stupid questions LOL)

Not a stupid question tbh.  Resistance increases with heat.  If the resistor is still closed circuit but on it's last legs with a bit damage somewhere, it could work ok until it heats up.  The extra resistance being too much for for the voltage to overcome.

It may not be that though.  The OP only asked for ideas.  And these resistors do break quite often.  The same effect could be caused the blower motor windings, or the relay windings.

Yeah, there is no stupid questions afaic. But as an electrical engineer i haven't seen a motor or relay winding do that. Maybe it's my lack of automotive electrical experience, but from what i've seen, if a winding goes open, it stays open. There's possibility of interturn shorts (between winding turns), but that's a different effect.

It's more likely to be the first option - something with the resistor (or something completely different). Where are these located?

Mikey,

does the blower work only when the engine starts running for 2 secs,

or does it work for 2 s when you turn the key - power up and further on - ignition ?
