Rear number plate screw type

Featured Replies

Afternoon All,

Trying to fit a set of replacement number plates to our ‘67 Galaxy and while the front went on no bother (screws just into the plastic of the bumper) the rear one goes into specific mounting points which seem to be fractionally larger than several sets of ‘fixing screws’ I’ve purchased seem to fit and they just spin. Anyone happen to know what screw type/size is needed to fit the built in mounting points for the rear plate?

Thanks!

Kuga uses m6 into rivnuts in the tailgate.

M5 screws into tailgate in I think Ecosport or possibly fiesta?.

Puma has self tappers similar to front.

Don’t know about Galaxy but would guess M6

Catcar lists the nuts as M5 x 7mm if that's any help.  It doesn't list the bolts directly.
