2008 Ford Fusion rear brake adjusters

Featured Replies

Do the fiesta adjusters fit Ford Fusion…these are the silver fork ends with a spring type spindle adjuster,,,,thank you

Looking at CatCar - only one adjuster is listed for rear drums FINIS 1522225 for all Fiesta/Fusion apart from ST (rear discs)

According to my Haynes manual,,the 2008 Ford Fusion should have the straight steel type of adjuster,,but mine has the silver spindle type ,with the small cog adjusting wheel,,like the fiesta

Best bet then to avoid getting the wrong parts is to go to a Ford dealer with your VIN/registration.

I have both the Fiesta and Fusion Haynes - and they appear to use the same text/photographs.

Being as I have both a Fiesta and Fusion of this type, I am quite interested in this.

If you do an fleabay search for Fiesta Fusion rear drum self adjuster, the hits only show the silver spindle type, nothing like the images in the Haynes ! (Not that I would buy safety critical parts from an auction site unless I was confident of their provenance.)

A search on the CatCar finis code, also brings up the spindle type.

On my Fusion,it has the spindle with the spring and small cog type adjuster,it is seized, but I replaced it back onto the car..can anybody tell me the size of these for the fusion ,from end to end,,as I don’t want to take the hub off again, without getting new ones to replace the seized ones,,thank you

Hi Terry,

I'v had nightmare with these drum brakes still working on them now I'm going to Ford dealership no more buying on line they say they fit all their brake shoes not so sure!
