P2263 Turbo fault

Featured Replies

Hi all, I have a 2010 Galaxy 2.0 TDCI. The Fault code I’m getting P2263 Turbocharger/supercharger boost system performance. I have had it in the garage to check for any holes in the pipes to the turbo, but they have told me it needs a “Diesel specialist” but couldn’t give me a reason why.
the car runs fines, the only time I’d say there is an issue is when you try to gain speed fast like joining a motorway and it just can’t get to speed quick enough.

has any experienced this or know where to start looking.

Thanks

Does anyone know the location of the actuator/ waste gate, I know this will be on the turbo but unsure of the location. (Thinking it’s to the right of the engine, just before the battery)

Is yours the pre-2010 or post-2010 2.0?

I think we worked it out previously but I can't remember now.

Either way, it doesn't have a wastegate, it's a VNT turbo.  The VNT actuator is a small metal can just below the turbo.

That hard metal pipe going straight up will connect to a vacuum solenoid via a rubber vac pipe, which is likely to be on the right of the engine, near the battery, as you say.  Possibly the brown one at the top here, though it's not a great picture, and may not even be the correct engine.
