Car Shows Up North?

Featured Replies

I realise there is a section on the forum for this but there seems to be zero traffic there, so I've posted here instead - hope that's ok!

Myself and hubby were wondering if anyone knows of any car shows (particularly Ford but any really) in the North of England please?

The only ones we are aware of are the ones at Tatton Park which we do attend most years, but apart from that we can't seem to find anything apart from shows down South.  We are not on Facebook - and do not want to be - so finding info can be tricky because everyone just assumes that everyone uses Facebook!

Any suggestions appreciated 😀

If you're prepared to cross the Pennines, there are several annually in Yorkshire - Newby Hall near Ripon*, Ripley Castle near Harrogate and York Racecourse to mention a few.

A bit late now for this season but details for next year will be found by a bit of googling.

* The "big" event is in July so passed for this year, but this one is still to.be held:

Absolutely yes!  The travel isn't a problem, it's the amount of time away from home that is the issue - we have an elderly pooch that can't be left for too long, so that is what limits the distance we can go.

Thank you so much for the suggestion, we will definitely take a look!  We know that most dates will have passed now for this year but wanted to try and get ahead a bit for next year

Other thoughts: we've had a few breaks in the Grange/Arnside/Silverdale area and there's a classic show at Leighton Hall near Carnforth in July. Never been as we've not been there at the right time!

Sure I've seen something near Blackpool, also?

Coastal resorts generally are worth having a look at on their "what's on" pages as they often have motoring events. Certainly the case at Yorkshire resorts like Scarborough, Whitby, Filey, Bridlington.

Not a show as such, but we usually have a few days in Filey every year and for the last few years it's been the start/finish/service area for the Trackrod rally Yorkshire. By amazing coincidence (!) we'll be there again in September. Not a show as I say, but a good way to see some classic Mk 1 and 2 Escorts in the historic class, as well as some interesting contemporaries. Nice atmosphere and some good fish n'chips too!

You have missed this years, but it will be on again next year about the same date:

Also here is a full list of everything that is/was in the North East and North Yorkshire this year. Very much will be the same next year.

Thanks again for these, this is exactly what I was looking for!

Blackpool sounds interesting, I'll have to do some searching to see what I can find on that one because we are in the North West so that would be ideal for us

Blackpool sounds interesting,

There seem to be several - Stanley Park, Clevelys and spotted that this one is still to occur this year:

They have shows at Gawsworth Hall, went to one a couple of years ago - where I snapped the some Tickford Capris. Not sure if there’d be any more this year but worth a look next year.
