Fiesta Titanium Mk7 (61) - rear view mirror reversing camera

Featured Replies

Hi.
I have a 2011 Ford fiesta titanium centura (61 plate). It came with a reversing camera in the rear view mirror, which stopped working and I got the blue screen of death.
I have completely removed the Ford camera at the rear and installed a new generic one, run wires through and around and connected them to a new separate display which I have mounted in front of the gear stick. Sorted.
But I need help disconnecting the blue screen of death which engages every time I put it in reverse. I have tried unclipping the connection from behind the rear view mirror but this also disconnects power to the auto dimming feature on the rear view mirror.
I’d be grateful for any advice. I’ll attach photos of the two ends of the connectors which I have unclipped, just in case it helps.
Thanks.
