Mk3 headlight adjuster not working?

Featured Replies

So in the original headlights neither would adjust so got some deepo ones brand knew and they still don't adjust. I've popped a new fuse in just incase it was that but still nothing, it's the halogen light unit with the 0-4 dial. Don't know what else to look at. 2012 zetec.

I'd recommend using FORScan and read the Ford specific DTC's which will possibly tell you what the fault is with the leveling system.

You got any recommendations for a Bluetooth obd reader? So I can use forscan android?

There are two versions that fully support FORscan, one for android and one for iPhones.

FORScan (for use with Windows Laptop) : https://forscan.org/download.html

It's what many Ford owners use including some Ford technicians.

Thanks for that bud, no DTC at all which obviously is lovely and the scanner will be handy now I've got it. Gonna grab a new headlight switch and prey it that's.

Can you check the BCM configuration with Forscan?  Make sure it's set to 'manual levelling' or words to that effect.

We have seen this issue on a few early Mk3's recently, but I can't remember what the solution was unfortunately.

Hi, I might have the same problem and did not found the right fuse. Can you tell me which one it is?

Thx,

Levente

Fuses are in your handbook.  If you don't have one, they are available online here - ford.co.uk/support/owner-manuals

This should be F39 in the engine bay.  5 Amp.

Thank you for the link and the information.

I did check that fuse, but it looks intact.

I have to search elsewhere. I already tried it with another headlight switch, but did not worked with it either.

Do you have any suggestions were I could look to identify the problem?

Both sides stopped working at the same time.

Thanks.
