Advice Needed!

Featured Replies

Hello, I have a Ford Fiesta Finesse (1999) which has just passed its mot. I was given an advisory which said that the sills are rusted and needs to be sorted out soon but the mechanic said that it is not worth doing, that it would cost more than the car is worth and that it would be better to get rid of the car before the next mot.

I don't know much about cars but from my research on the internet I assume that the sills have to be either replaced or welded. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what would be involved in each case (e.g. would the car have to be resprayed etc.) and how much it would be likely cost. Also if anyone knows of any good places to get it done in north west kent area?

Thank you,

Jane
