Focus 2010 Towbar

Featured Replies

I'm looking to get a towbar fitted to my 2010 2.0 TDCi Focus Titanium.

I found this link on the internet http://www.focusplanet.com/downloads/focusmanuals/2010/2010_focus_owner_guidemanual.pdf

that implies on page 170 that Ford don't support it for this year model. My owners handbook doesn't state that and does give information about towbars, although it was printed in 2005 so likely not an upto date handbook.

So I'm slighly confused if it is or isn't supported. I'm sure it's possible but I don't want to invalidate my warranty (and assuming insurance if Ford state this model cannot tow).

I'm not in fact going to tow, its just for a towbar based cycle rack, but I doubt that will matter if the warranty doesn't allow it.

Anyone know for sure the guidelines?

thanks.
