Sony radio turning on and off

Featured Replies

Hi all. I have a problem with my Sony DAB radio in my mk2 Focus ST I fitted last year. I retrofitted the later rounder Sony DAB head unit. Head unit was second hand but all aerial parts were brand new Ford OEM. It’s been working ok until this week when the head unit has started turning on and off constantly. After some investigation I found that if the fakra connector from the aerial is disconnected the radio stays on, gets am radio and plays a CD. Could it be a fault in the DAB module in the head unit?

Did you manage to sort this issue? I’ve been having this issue with two Sony Dab radios in two different cars with different antennas. I think you posted this issue on the FB group which I said I’m also having the issue. Driving me nuts. Why does it only do it when I plug a Fakra antenna in?
