Hi, I wonder if anyone can please help I have an old ford fiesta, 2007 recently the ignition intermittently fails, causing misfire. The RAC said a fault code indicated an open ignition circuit, either A or B, I can't remember which. As advised, the coil pack was replaced. However, the intermittent fault still occurs.

Moving the loom can sometimes remove the condition. The loom support has broken and I've been advised that the continuing, intermittent open circuit may be the result of a damaged loom or it's weight on the coil pack/loom connector. I had a mobile mechanic come look and he said he had fixed the problem after 10 minutes I drove the car a couple of days after for 5 minutes it seemed ok I then went to drive it again the other day and the light came back on. I messaged the mechanic and he said I would need to bring it to his garage however I am worried that it would break down on the way. Can anyone please advise if I would be able to drive it with out it cutting out or any advice on what I should do pleasWhatsAppImage2024-09-26at18_51_51_413cc876.thumb.jpg.00ba95e4aea902d8c595198035f21863.jpg

Thank you

If moving the loom fixes the problem temporarily, can you either cable tie the loom up to support it, or cable tie the connector on to the coil pack?
