Usual suspect rain ingress locations

Featured Replies

I noticed this morning there was a smell of damp in my 2013 diesel Festy. There was a solid day of rain yesterday so I had a root around and found that under both driver and passenger seats, the carpet was damp. Similarly I had a cardboard box in the boot and I could see that it was also wet, the box was on the driver side of the boot.

Any usual suspects for where this ingress could have come from? Any help is appreciated as I don't want to be driving a damp smelly car for the winter 😅

Plastic runners on rear of the roof and down to the boot seal.

Gently lift the rear of the plastic (only double sided tape holds this down..)

You will see the metal joint has sealant that is now leaking..Gently remove the sealant and replace..re stick the rear of the plastic runner and allow to dry acording to what you are using (hopefully not bathroom sealant)

Dry boot and test with hose

Can't comment on under seats as I haven't had this issue

Did you get this sorted @pleasestartnow ? As I’ve got water in the spare wheel well

Also check any spoiler if you have one bolted on.
