Rear Parking Sensor Always Detects Obstruction - Need Help!

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with one of my rear parking sensors on my Ford Fiesta. It constantly shows an obstruction at the back of the car, even when there's nothing there. The display always shows a yellow line indicating something is in the way, and it keeps beeping as if I'm about to hit something.

I've tried all the common recommendations:

  • Cleaned the sensors thoroughly.
  • Swapped the problematic sensor with a new one.
  • Checked the wiring for any obvious issues.

Despite all this, the sensor keeps beeping and showing an obstruction. Has anyone else experienced something similar, or does anyone have any suggestions on what to check next? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

That photo shows the FRONT of the car.

If there is nothing there then the sensor is faulty and needs replaced.

PS: You don't have a 2025 Fiesta (check your profile).

Thank you so much for clarifying that it's the front sensor! I appreciate your help—I've been under the impression for a while that it was the rear sensor, so this clears up a lot of confusion. Thanks again!
