OK, we had a notification saying the offside rear is not detected so I’ve changed both of the back wheels around drove the car so that it reset but it still says offside rear not detected.

could this be a receiver issue? If so, where would this be located? Thank you.

Won't make any difference where you place the wheel on the car. The original position is coded to the car. Sounds like you need a new sensor.

The offside rear sensor is faulty, it is showing a pressure of150psi, it needs changed.

They swapped the wheels so it is probably now NSR unless they were swapped back.

Or they could try letting out 110psi pressure 😂

Not swapped back yet, how long or how many miles does it normally take to recalibrate?

The sensor is dead and needs replaced, you can drive to the moon and back but it's not going to fix it. Get a new sensor fitted in the wheel and code it back in to the car.

It doesn't recalibrate.  You have to manually synchronise the sensors to each corner of the car if you want to swap the wheels over like that.

But in this case that sensor is knackered anyway.  The new sensor will need to be synchronised to the car after fitting.

Hi, I have had a new TPMS fitted yesterday, I purchased this on line and my local tyre place fitted it, they don’t have the tools to reset the system. I have done the usual YouTube procedures eg putting it into training mode as letting air out of the wheels etc but no good. And advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes, provided of course you put the vehicle in to TPMS learning mode.

Solved!!!!

Sensor replaced but still showing Tyre pressure sensor malfunction on the dashboard. I disassembled the old sensor and replaced the 2032 battery and placed it on top of the wheel that was showing the error the car picked this up straight away and indicated tyre pressure low and the Tyre pressure sensor malfunction notice had gone, I then moved the broken sensor away from the car, now the car thinks it only has a low pressure in one of the tyres, I then reset the pressures in the settings of the car so the low pressure notification went.

After a 10 minute drive the car picked up the new sensor and all is now good.

So basically the error notification was preventing the new sensor from being detected but as soon as that error had gone it recalibrated as the car was supposed to do.
