Cleaning Maf Issues

Hey guys.

I need to clean my MAf sensor on my 2001 ford fiesta flight 1.3.

I have located the MAF and i unplugged the connector. I then used a torx bit to get it off. But when i take it off all that comes off is a black box with a blue circle in the middle which has two triangles facing inwards from the outside of the circle. there is a flat peice of metal sticking out from inside the air filter hose.

I am guessing I have done something wrong because I can't see any "hot wires" to clean. Do I need to dis connect the jubilee clip and look inside the hose to be able to clean the element/wires/sensor?
