Owned ford focus 2013 1.6tdci since new.

Lost my job about 4 weeks ago, so need free advice if possible, before spending any more.

Never had any problems before now and been a very reliable 1st time starter since new.

Went to start car no charge in battery after being stood 4 weeks. Was tottally glat. Purchased a jump starter and kicked over 1st time. Left running an hour. Next day same thing. 3rd day alternator would not even click or turn over with full jump starter. Bought overnight battery charger yesterday. Battery now on full. Pushed the start button and nothing...No lights on dash or any of click. Checked battery connections, clean and secure. Now can also here an electronic tone  similar to hearing test from back of engine compartment. Fuses checked and ok. Nothing now, dead car, except for constant tone so cannot drive to garage. What could be wrong, can anyone advise as cannot afford recovery to a garage and associated repair costs.

    The battery is knackered after being left discharged for so long.  They can't be recharged indefinitely.  Sorry it's not free, but you will need to buy a new one.  You may be able to find a cheap one on ebay or Gumtree etc.  As long as it fits the box and has the right connections, it'll do the job.
