Programming mode

Featured Replies

Hi,

I got my 2012 ford fiesta studio in February through a private second hand sale, this car came only with 1 manual (replacement) key. I wanted to get an electric remote key for this car so i called an auto locksmith to code a key.

He cut a key and programmed it into the PATS system and it starts the car etc. However, when he went to code it to the car to use the lock/ unlock function he could not get it into program mode. We tried the 0-2 x8 times within 8 seconds, 0-2 x4 times within 6 seconds. The car just does not make any chime or have any unlock and lock Indicator that is has gone into program mode in order to use the remote functions.

Can anyone help me with this i don't know why it isn’t going into remote programming mode.

A Fiesta studio probably hasn't got remote keyless entry (RKE) or a RKE receiver

You could try activating it using FORScan, as it might just be deactivated, then programming the remote

fiesta studio

This in an entry level model and does not have the remote lock/unlock function.
