Iphone 4 Ford Ka 1.2 Uk Usb Not Connecting As Media Player

Hi have just got my new ford ka 1.2 titanium with usb and bluetooth. Bluetooth quite amazing through the car, advanced stereo pack excellent, but a bit disappointed as cannot get my iphone 4 play music through the system , when plugged into usb says only that no media found. There is no jack socket in this car, does anyone know anyway how i could get my iphone to play the music through the car. Using a memory stick have no problem with my music.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Took my car into dealers today but specialist told me he has not had any dealings with the KA and usb yet and would have to book my car in while he talked to ford technical., have to wait a week or so for that .....thanks

    My Fiesta Zetec S is the same. The best way is to play music via Bluetooth imo! :) It's the iPhone updates that have broken the playback via usb sadly from OS 3.0 odd onwards! :(

    Hi interscot,

    Did you ever resolve this problem because I have exactly the same problem now and no-one seems to have the answer. Usb stick works ok but no control over it i.e. cant play playlists etc, it just randomly plays what it wants and the same things over and over.

    I have iphone on 4.2.1 and it works fine ange but i do have a fiesta not a Ka, you may want to ask in the Ka Forum!
