2008 tdci fiesta heated windscreen problem.

Both 30 amp fuses are fine checked this morning -4 C Here in Mid Wales, so did not stay outside too long. The drivers half is heating OK. 

It may be a connection issue or perhaps the screen is at fault. Is there a common problem I should know about.

Any thoughts welcome.

    Then the passenger half of screen is broken. One of the connections to the screen will have come off. They can't be repaired, only option is to replace the screen.

    You'll just have to hope that the windscreen doesn't get a large stone chip because then it would have to get replaced. Fortunately most insurance policies cover windscreen glass damage. 🤔

    My wife got stranded a couple of weeks ago when her wipers stopped mid screen. The plastic gear had stripped due to motor drive shaft seized.  Bought used one £18, serviced it oil grease etc, and fitted now good. While I was faffing with plastic trim removed , I could not see any sign of wires connecting to windscreen. being RHD there was some plastic to the right under main full width trim that I did not need to remove perhaps it was under there. 84K in 17 years goes better than my 7 year old 1.5 TDCI (remapped0
