installing wing mirror bolt

Featured Replies

hi,

I bought a replacement wing mirror for my mk2 ford focus, sadly the bolt wasn’t fitted and the seller couldn’t give a fiddlers.there is a frame that attaches to the window frame with a torx screw at the top. Then a bolt that is supposed to have the head against the mirror body. Then the thread comes through a hole in the window frame.Any clue as to how I can get enough slack on the mirror plastic frame to get the bolt through?

You bought a "Wing Mirror" and now you are trying to fit it to the Window frame" No wonder you can't make it fit. 🤣

no there is a frame on the door adjacent to the window that has a frame that the mirror fits to.
