Focus 2020 - Front washer jets not working

Featured Replies

Hi,  My sons car Focus year Feb 2020  -   Front washer jets not working at all.  No sound of electric motor running trying to locate Fuse.

I have some info form Fords online User guide ...  Fuse id 77  10 amp  Engine compartment fuse is shown.

Has anyone any other ideas that may cause the washer jets to stop working, thank you.  ( Fuse or Motor perhaps ? )

( It's my son's car that is approx. 60 mile away hence I am trying some remote support ....  I have a 2022 same model Focus yet this user guide shows the same info. Fuse id 77 . 10 amp

strange  when I check on my 2022 model there is no fuse in this location ( Fuse 77 ) this is empty hence the manual for my car is incorrect, I hope my sons car does have Fuse id 77  10 amp fitted and hope this is the cause of the problem .   Thank you, much appreciated.

Is there anything that could help to unblock washer motor ?  Maybe like a mild hot water with a bit of drain cleaner thoroughly flush out after loosening up debris / blockage  ?

Motor is making a sound for Front and back yet no water is being sprayed onto windscreen areas.  Thank you.

Don't put drain cleaner in the washer bottle.  Also don't use anything foamy like washing up liquid.  You can use a Steradent tablet, though that's probably not something your son has lying around.  Could also use some baby-bottle steriliser if that's more age appropriate.

Are you suggesting that perhaps the OP can use some of their tablets ? 🤣

Just to support the advice already given, 'drain cleaner' is nasty stuff and as well as potential pump damage, it certainly won't do the paintwork any good if splashed on it LOL
