Ford Fiesta Crabbing

Featured Replies

So I have a 2010 Ford Fiesta Edge TDCI that I unfortunately had an accident in and smacked a curb at 20-30mph. My offside hub is cambered out due to the impact so basically looks like this /

It’s crabbing like mad and i know that I have a bent axle which I intend on replacing this week. Question is will my frame be bent, every door aligns fine aswell as all body panels so has the hub and axle taken the brunt of the impact or does anyone think my frame will be bent causing it to be a total write off?

Thanks.

tried to add photos but wasnt allowing me to as too big of a file.

If it was only the wheel that hit the kerb, the chassis should be fine.

I take it it it's the rear wheel, not the front?

the rear axles are cheap on eBay even if it is bent there only held on by 6 bolts i highly doubt it be a write off.

if front it may be slightly more expensive depending what's bent. and again the subframes are quite cheap. if you can fit the parts yourself £200 is probably the max you need to spend only hard part to replace is front hub bearing.

I actually forgot i posted this! It was completely fine. Axle crumpled on impact and took the hit along with the hub. Shes back on the road driving well
