Heated front screen

Featured Replies

As with all age related vehicles, my heated front screen has started to fog in some areas (de-lamination), although the screen light comes on, it's doubtful if the element is working as moisture may have caused damage.

I've spoken to our local screen guy, it's a common fault on fords, 19 year old screen, it's spent all it's life out side, except the last year.

I've been quoted £295 all in, your thoughts & feedback welcome 😁

That seems a fair price for a heated front screen. 👍

Most windscreens rarely last 19 years as they usually get cracked or chipped and have to be replaced. Many of course are covered by glass breakage on the insurance policy. You're obviously just unlucky that yours has never needed to be replaced. 😉

If you were to have windscreen cover on your insurance it would be terrible if a large stone on the end of a ball hammer were to damage the windscreen
