Coolant Temperature Sensor Location on Focus Mk4

Featured Replies

Evening All

Anyone knows where the location of the Charge Air Coolant Temperature Sensor A Circuit High on a 2018 Ford Focus 1.5 EcoBlue Diesel.  Throwing an engine management light on and P00E1 code.  Any help would be gratefully appreciated as cant find any information on google search / you tube etc.

If you look at the back of the engine you'll see a large rectangular lump of shiny metal with plastic at each end.  That is the intercooler (aka charge air cooler) and it is water cooled on this engine.  It has it's own coolant supply from a small bottle above it.  I don't know exactly where the coolant temp sensor will be, but if you look around the intercooler, and follow it's water pipes, then you should find it eventually.
