Cigarette lighter not turning off

Featured Replies

Hopefully someone can help, i have noticed my ford fusion 2009 is not cutting out the power to the cigarette lighter when the ignition is off, is this normal?

Dont want to find the dashcam has drained the battery when i next use it.

I think on our Fusion, 2010, the socket goes off after about 1 hour.  Also applies to the boot and interior lights.

You may also find it is permanently live, like my 2005 LX, darn stupid idea. I got round it by installing another 12v socket properly wired up to an ignition controlled source...
