Troubles On 1.8 Tddi

Featured Replies

Last night the water pump let go on my 1.8 TDDI Focus.

The first I knew was the temp guage when all the way up so I stopped imediately. After letting the car cool for 1/2 hour I poured in some water and it came out by the cam belt, I am guessing water pump but haven't looked yet.

Anyway I got it towed home and started it up to drive it the last 20 yards into the garage, it started OK but did take a few cranks which is most unusual.

This morning I decided to check it would start before investigating the leak and it won't. It cranks but will not go. I fear it is a head gasket gone and it only started yesterday because it was still hot but now it is cold there isn't enough compression.

What do you guys think?

Unfortunately that could be possible, check the dipstick for any water droplets in with the oil if so then the head gasket has most likely gone.
