My wife's Puma ST FL

Featured Replies

It arrived 7 days ago, after 18 months with a Fiesta  MK8 '5 ST3,she ordered it at the beginning of September and it was well worth the wait,we chose Frozen white, she didn't like any other colours especially with Ford charging £800 for paint. Car has the panoramic roof and the handling pack

Looks good, though the wheels might be a pain to clean? Might have been a good idea to blank the plates for pics though.

Be interesting to see what you think of the handling pack. I've seen contradictory comments on other forums about the effect on ride.

Wow, I didn't notice those at first glance.  I wonder if the design team accidentally overlaid a second alloy wheel design on top of the first...too late to change it once they'd been sent to production!

As the car is white anyway, that'll already be a pain to keep clean.  A full ceramic coating for paint and wheels would definitely be worthwhile in this case.

Why bother? We all drive round with our number plates displayed, and the chassis number is also displayed for anyone to read when parked.

Roger doesn't he has a special cover for his and he's never had a speeding ticket 🤣

If someone wants to make up a set of plates to steal fuel, they're not going to choose their neighbours reg.  Quicker and safer (with regards to getting caught) to use a set of plates seen online instead.  Though in fairness, there are thousands of plates online, so I'm not sure how much probability there is for each individual to have plates cloned from online.

If someone is going to steal fuel, they don't usually bother getting plates made up, they steal them off a similar car, then throw them away.

That is another option but it's not the most effective.  As soon as the person notices their plates were stolen it'll be put up on ANPR checks and they could get stopped quickly.  Cloning plates makes it much easier to keep under the radar for longer.

Quite true. But posting pics on public forums saves the scrotes time and shoe leather.😀

After driving he Mk8.5 Fiesta for 18 months the handling pack is a breath of fresh air,no body roll, very compliant, and handles like a dream especially in sport mode with the steering stiffened up car feels planted, the Fiestas suspension was very harsh but had some body roll, also tramlining, not a car you could relax in

Interesting. When you look at what's involved - 10mm lower, 20% stiffer springs - you would expect the opposite, so it must be down to the KW shockers.
